How to choose, connect and operate hardware from the same Vento project.

Which devices can I connect to Vento?

Vento works with a growing catalogue that includes ESP32 and Arduino boards, Shelly devices and Waveshare hardware. You can also connect Raspberry Pi computers, other computers, phones, sensors and actuators. If you already know which device you want to use, tell Vento Agent. If not, explain what you want to build and it will help you choose suitable hardware.

How do I connect a board or device to Vento?

Tell Vento Agent which device you have and what you want to measure, control or automate. The agent will guide you through the appropriate connection method and, depending on the device, can help with wiring, firmware, configuration and connecting it to the project. If it is not yet in the catalogue, it can also help you create the integration.

Can the connected system keep working without internet?

Local functions can keep operating through a suitable Vento Hub setup. Cloud AI, hosted integrations, managed compilation, telemetry or updates may still need internet, so the exact offline boundary depends on how the project is built.
